The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ejisu Constituency and Deputy Minister for Finance, Hon. Dr Lawyer John Ampontuah Kumah has commended his constituents for their constant loyalty and unflinching support to the principles and ideals of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The MP said the Presidency under His Exellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr Mohamadu Bawumia fully appreciates the tremendous support that the party receives from the Ejisu Constituency in every election and when the party comes to power especially under the current administration.

Hon.Jojn Kuamh said the party and the government will show its appreciation and gratitude by fulfilling its development commitments to the people of the Ejisu Constituency in particular and the country in general.

The deputy minister made the acknowledgement and pledge at an event where he feasted some 1000 widows in his constituency on Saturday 1st July 2023.

The feast was organized by the Ejisu Young Patriots, a youth movement of the NPP as part of the MP’s activities to mark this year’s Republic Day celebration in his constituency.

Addressing party supporters and beneficiary widows at the forecourt of the Ejisu Constituency party office where the event was held, the MP and Deputy Finance Minister said he takes delight in benevolent acts and gestures that bring hope and smiles to the vulnerable in society.

John Kumah indicated that he is particularly sensitive to the plights of widows, orphans, aged and persons with disabilities.

The MP observed that little generous acts and actions such as feasting with and providing anything small to those in need put smiles on the faces of beneficiaries and also promote social welfare and well-being.

He expressed regret that resource constraints do not allow all constituents to benefit from such benevolent donations.

The Deputy Finance Minister however consoled the people that all constituents will in due course benefit in one form or the other from the Akufo-Addo and Bawumia led government and he (Dr John Kumah) leadership as the member of parliament of the Ejisu constituency.

He appealed to the people of Ejisu to remain committed to the course of the NPP.

He called on all members of the party in the constituency to come together as one family and work towards the common purpose of Breaking the 8 come 2024 general elections.

The Ejisu Constituency Communications officer of the New Patriotic Party, Alexander Owusu commended the MP and the Young Patriots for the event.

He said leadership of the constituency is doing everything possible to unite the party for victory.
He appealed to the constituents to have faith in the party and the MP as they are working hard to bring the needed development to the constituency.

Apart from being treated to sumptuous meals, all the widows were presented with gifts in the form of textile.

The beneficiary widows were selected from communities in various zones and electoral areas of the constituency.

Some beneficiary widows who spoke to the media after receiving their gifts thanked the Young Patriots and the MP for the gesture and appealed for more of such assistance.
