Management of Neoen and Tema SOS Village

A leading independent foreign renewable energy producer based in Ghana, has donated quantity of items to the SOS Children’s Home in Tema.

Management of Neoen Ghana on Monday presented the assorted items to the Tema Children’s Home as part of the company’s Cooperate Social Responsibility.

The items worth thousands of Ghanaian cedis included food stuff, provisions and toiletries.

According to management of Neoen Ghana, the donation is to support the less privileged children at the orphanage.

It is also to let the community feel the presence of the French owned renewable energy producer in Ghana.

Assistant country representative of the company, Mr. Alex Nunoo, presented the items on behalf of the renewable energy.

He said Neoen is not only in the country for business and profits.

Mr Nunoo indicated that the renewable energy producer is in the country to serve its Ghanaian clients, and help mitigate some of the social needs of the communities in which it operates.

The country representative said the vision of Neoen Ghana is to make positive impact by touching lives, hence efforts to support orphans in the country.

Mr Alex Nunoo assured that the gusture would not be a ” nine day wonder” but that his company will continue to support less privileged in the Ghanaian society.

He added that Neoen Ghana through its investments in the renewable energy sector hopes to help authorities reduce poverty through job creation and alternative energy opportunities.

Alternative Care Educator of the Tema SOS Children’s Village receiving the donation on behalf of the home thanked management of Neoen Ghana for the kind gusture.

Auntie Esi said her organization and others like her’s survive through such kind charitable donations.

“This organization takes care of the vulnerable in the Ghanaian society. It’s all these donations like what you’ve presented that sustain and help us survive”, she told the company’s team.

‘’Our doors are open to anyone who wants to assist, sponsor us with more sanitary items and a monthly donation of a hundred cedis”, Auntie Esi passionately appealed to the general public.
