The Biakoye District Assembly in Ghana have directed efforts at harnessing the district’s tourism prospects for socio-economic development and job creation.

Leaders of the district have on this note announced plans to develop the district’s tourism potentials.

The District’s Chief Executive (DCE) pointed out that the district has more than 12 tourist attraction sites.

Hon. Millicent Kabuki Carboo said the sites, if developed can create many jobs for youth in the Biakoye district, Oti region and Ghana as a whole.

The DCE disclosed the assembly will soon organize investment summit to project and promote the district’s tourism heritage to both local and foreign investors.

She observed that the waterfalls located in the vast Bowiri Aboabo Forest.

Hon. Millicent Kabuki Carboo descrobed the Biakoye District as the tourist destinations in Ghana’s newly created Oti region.
