A popular Ghanaian charismatic pastor has chastised leaders of the country’s police administration not to waste the service’s limited resources in analyzing the 31st December Watch Night prophecies of the various churches but rather use it to address the pressing security concerns of the people

The founder and leader of the Perez Chapel made the admonition in the country’s capital yesterday during a church service.

Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare in a six minutes, five seconds audio-visual *excerpt of his sermon on his personal facebook page explained why the police administration should not interfere in spiritual matters of the church.

According to the bishop, the churches to a larger extent complied with the police administration’s directive which cautioned the church against prophetic revelations that were likely to cause fear and panic to certain individuals and the general public before the 31st Watch Night services and therefore wondered  why the administration still intends to further scrutinize certain harmless prophetic disclosures which came out after the Watch Night.

He could not understand why the leadership of the police service many of whom are christian believers themselves will try to gag prophets from disclosing prophetic messages from God to their followers.

The revered Bishop accused the Ghanaian Police administration of not just making efforts to sanitize the prophetic ministration space but a means to legislate prophetic communication in general.

He expressed fear that the police if they succeed in analyzing prophecy will soon begin analyzing church sermons too if care is not taken.

“It’s okay for the police to caution us about prophecies that are likely to cause fear and panic especially those that have to do with notable personalities, however for the police to issue a   statement that they are analyzing prophecies of the 31st  December Watch Night, they are trying to legislate prophecy,” he pointed out.

Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare admonished the Ghana Police Administration not to attempt to legislate prophecies since they don’t have what it takes to do so.
